That being said, they have a long way to go until this can be called a "finished" game. A lot fo the game isfull of temporary or missing features that could be useful, but the most recent addition of Mass Vehicle Replacement Scheduling has made the game a TON more convenient to play, and I can only assume the gameplay will continue to be refined and optimized in the coming months. You may see a lot of people claim the game is "dead" or stale due to a large gap in updates for most of Summer/Fall 2021, and that's partly true, however keep in mind the majority of this game's start was made with 2 people, and finding time to expand their team and work on game updates is very challenging. Super minimalist but super catchy! (I also think' it's rather cheeky the songs get muffled when you pause the game lol) It's prominent enough that you will enjoy it when it's going through it's tunes, but subtle enough that you will often not notice that there is music playing at all until the track actually stops for an intermission. As a music-oriented gamer, the soundtrack can make or break whether I want to buy a game or not. As of right now Modding is carrying a lot of the gameplay imo, but I wouldn't be surprised if this changes quickly! Oh yeah, the game in its current state supports mods, a majority of which has to do with new vehicle tech, industries, and buildings. I recommend you install this mod even if you are starting out, it's just that good. I would say in the current state of the game the variety is a bit bland but refreshr's Biome-izer mod is the GOAT Mod that adds a billion new factors of terrain such as more water-based biomes, realistic terrain and custom flora and ambient noise to create an immersive experience that is paralleled in Minecraft's 1.18 update. Or go for a balanced middle ground default region setting.Įach Land area tends to have it's own unique biome, with its own unique scenery. You can make the regions smaller for a more compact but easy to profit off of game, or make large regions that encourage a healthy rail-based logistics network but are notoriously difficult to get off the ground in the early game. Don't like building around lakes or mountains? you can increase/decrease the chance of getting hilly terrain or water or even remove both entirely from generation. The world is, as the devs claim, an infinite plane with customizable (in the start) terrain settings. The early game will always be slow, but once you research your first Wood/Iron manufacturing tech and sell Iron Bars/Wood Planks/Wood Beams you will start seeing profits and never stop seeing profits through the roof. You create your company, build road networks and schedules to satisfy AI customer demands, and research and buy new tech and regions to make richer profits, expand to farther cities, and increase your efficiency delivering goods. This game is a Logistics management Game meets Minecraft in a nutshell.
